Research & Development
POTEVIO's research and development is driven by its objective to be scientifically and technologically innovative. Hence, to ensure this, it has set up its R & D with POTEVIO Institute of Technology and its sub-institutes. It also has four post-doctoral research stations and teams with large number of outstanding and experienced experts.
POTEVIO has established R & D partnerships with many scientific research institutes such as the Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Beijing university of Post & Telecommunications, and many more.

In 2006, POTEVIO Institute of Technology became the first domestic R & D institution (and consequently, the world's 15th in rank) that passed CMMI/SW/SE/IPPD Level-5 Assessment. |

In 2007, POTEVIO ranked on the 23rd level in central enterprises comprehensive evaluation of scientific and technological innovation ability; and ranked 28th in the patents released by SASAC. |

In 2008, POTEVIO proved to be one of the "National innovation orientated enterprises" experimental units. |
Therefore, POTEVIO focuses on technological innovation, increased investments in Research and effective stimulation of R & D team's innovative capacity. It has received fruitful results in many professional fields such as 3G, 4G technologies, memory card standards, value added services, and digital TV; through which, it has strongly been supporting industry's sustainable development.
In recent years, POTEVIO has applied for nearly 1,000 items of national patents, hosted and participated in the process of making many national industry standards.
